Sri Lanka’s Export Development Board has scheduled the 28th Presidential Export Awards for 8 December at the BMICH in Colombo.
The ceremony is expected to recognise exporters across the 2025–2026 financial year. A total of 117 awards are planned, comprising 15 overall awards and 102 product- and service-sector awards.
Recognition covers performance and wider contribution
According to the Government Information Department, assessment extends beyond export earnings. Market diversification, employment, value addition, environmental sustainability and corporate social responsibility are also considered.
Around 1,500 guests are expected, including exporters, government officials and diplomats. The awards programme began in 1981. The October announcement sets out the planned ceremony and assessment framework; individual winners had not been named in that report.
