Students from Pinnawala Central College and Matale Siri Seevali College visited the Presidential Secretariat on 24 September as the Vision programme marked two years of activity.
The programme is a joint initiative of the Presidential Secretariat, Ministry of Education and Parliament’s Department of Communication. It gives schoolchildren an opportunity to learn about public institutions and their history.

During the visit to the former Parliament building, students received a briefing on parliamentary history. Senior Additional Secretary to the President Roshan Gamage also explained the President’s Fund and its relevance to schoolchildren.
The Government Information Department reported that participating schools received a commemorative publication documenting the programme. Plants were presented as a reminder of environmental conservation, adding a practical symbolic element to the educational visit.
